Irish Studio

15th July 2008

Ireland Studio by Ronnie Wood will be exhibited at Scream 34 Bruton Street from July 15th – 6th September. Ronnie has had deep connection to Ireland throughout his career.  This show presents new and  older works incorporating still life, landscapes and animal portraits.  Ronnie has had a lifelong passion for Ireland and this theme runs throughout his artist career and the inspiration for this exhibition.

Ronnie is one of the few artists in the world whose work crosses two mediums, music and art. Ronnie started showing his artwork publicly in San Francisco, California in the 1980’s and has since had countless exhibitions around the world.  A long established artist in his own right, his work hangs in up to 15 galleries at any given time from London to New York City, Las Vegas, Denver, Tokyo, Shanghai and beyond.  Currently, he is the number one print seller in the United States.

Born into a family of enthusiastic artists, Ronnie learned to draw from his father and grew up painting alongside his brothers.  Ronnie then followed his brothers to art school and his very first job was as a sign writer.  He was formally educated at Ealing Art college.  In New York City, during the early 1980’s, Ronnie undertook extensive training in woodcut techniques.  He has subsequently worked with screen-printing and the intaglio process. As an art lover his taste is varied from Caravaggio and Goya to William Orpen, Banksy and Tracey Emin.
